So an explanation for my absence if you didn’t already know, I’ve been in Paris this week! Although I was super busy with Premiere Vision (a kind of fabric and manufacturing convention for fashion professionals to make trade contacts), I did manage to shoot this outfit on one of my free days which I wore it, along with my vintage Ray-Ban Sunglasses, to visit Jim Morrison’s grave. It was such a weird experience visiting the grave of someone who’s always been one of your favourite musicians and it was pretty sad and darkened our spirits with him being kind of like an idol and rather iconic, but it was a good experience all the same, and the graveyard was so pretty, with some amazing tombs that were quiet decadent and lavishly decorated and taken care of.

We had a pretty cultural trip in Paris, and it involved a lot of adventuring and a ton of walking aimlessly, which by doing so we discovered things we never would have! We literally walked from the Pyramides near the Louvre area, to the Eiffel Tower and then to the Champs Elysees – and back to the Eiffel Tower… It’s safe to say I’m still resting! Along with our visit to the Premiere Vision exhibition (a fabric exhibition held yearly for fashion professionals) we managed to cover pretty much anything worth doing in Paris – my favourite being the Catacombes which you can see in the photos full of skulls and bones… In case you have no idea what the Catacombes are, it’s basically miles and miles of underground ossuaries holding the remains of around 6 million people dating back to the 1700’s due to too many bodies in cemeteries (bit of a history lesson there for you!). But yes, that was interesting… And slightly morbid… Anyway…

The rest of our trip was spent on a mission for Macaroons and any Zara/Sephora store that we came across (resulting in both of us fulfilling our Velvet Teddy dreams! We need Sephora stores here in the UK!) – and Hollie’s mission? To eat snails. Yep, she ate snails, right in front of me.

Lately, layering this sleeveless sweater from Missguided over anything has become a daily thing and my favourite way to wear it, and tan and camel colours are quickly replacing pink as the most used colour in my life lately too!

I had a fab time away and I can’t wait to show you all the photos from my trip, look out for my next post in a couple of days! Au Revoir for now!
